Reading is the only thing in the world I am good at. A lifetime of reading, fifteen years of working in bookstores, and libraries, and an obsession with the written word makes me qualified enough to talk someone's ear off about books. Now I am getting more ARCs than I have room for in the house. Let me get back to reading them!
Felt lucky that I know a little Hindi, since there is a lot of dialogue that is not translated. Even the little glossary in the back was not very helpful. I didn't like many parts of this book (not well written) but there were parts I just loved (like Bhagavan Das, the barber) so I gave it three stars, although I almost only gave it two, or even one.
