Reading is the only thing in the world I am good at. A lifetime of reading, fifteen years of working in bookstores, and libraries, and an obsession with the written word makes me qualified enough to talk someone's ear off about books.  Now I am getting more ARCs than I have room for in the house.  Let me get back to reading them!

The Drowning House - Elizabeth Black I was only interested in this book because my grandmother lived in Galveston when she first came to the USA in 1931. The book seemed over-written, with symbolism that hit you over the head as hard as it could. The promised suspense wasn't there, and the mystery was so bogged down with a boring plot that I didn't care about the outcome.
